I had been looking around for a gas log insert for our vacant fireplace for a while, even considered buying a kit from the big box stores, but then I stumbled across Kester fireplace. I called first and felt like my needs were heard and their pricing was reasonable. Through the whole process Mindy and her team were informative and incredibly helpful. They helped me expedite parts of the process when possible and took extra time where I needed it. I was never pressured to a decision. My install timing was for a couple weeks after Christmas and they ended up having a cancellation meaning I could get the wonderful gift of a fireplace a day after Christmas. It was a wonderful surprise!! The installation team was respectful of our space, clean, quick and courteous. I also love that they’re a family business all the way through from the moment you start the conversation with Mindy to when you get your install with Mindy’s daughter. We’ve had the fireplace for about a month now with no issues. It’s added about $15 to our gas bill. All our animals love it and it creates an incredible ambiance. Thank you Mindy and Team for the wonderful customer service and experience end to end. If I had a second fireplace, I’d come back without hesitation for another install.

Very easy to work with and their price was several hundred dollars below other quotes. Mindy is very knowledgeable and Jen installed the logs in under 45 minutes and reviewed their operation. Very pleased and I will also use them for annual service too.

I don’t often write reviews but this is one review opportunity that I couldn’t pass up. Kester Fireplace would get 10 stars from me if it was allowed. From start to finish, they were a pleasure. I had no idea what I was doing but only knew I always wanted a stone fireplace in my family room. I stopped in to see Mindy. She spent so much time with me explaining every detail of of fireplaces, venting, log sets, etc. Together, we picked out what worked for my space. She was very communicative through the whole process. Gerry and Jen showed up when it was time for installation. I gave them an idea of what I was looking for and they worked with me to design the perfect fireplace. They built the whole structure, ran the gas line, hooked up the electric, vented it and it is perfect!! All with a smile! I would never have gotten this done without Kester. They go by the Golden Rule – treat others as you would want to be treated. They live and work that rule. Perfect job at a reasonable price. Thank you, Mindy, Gerry and Jen!!

We bought a house with four gas fireplaces that didn’t work. The sellers kept trying to fix them and sent multiple repair technicians, but they kept breaking down. Some wouldn’t go one, but worse was that some wouldn’t turn off. Since several repair attempts had failed we called the manufacturer to find the best service companies in our area. They recommended Kester Fireplace. Although Kester doesn’t usually travel to Philadelphia, they went out of our way to help us. Turns out our fireplaces weren’t installed quite right. Jerry and Jen took all four gas assemblies apart and put them back together correctly. Now they work, and we can sit by the fire without having to worry about burning our house down. Plus, Kester’s bill was half the estimate we received from from other manufacturer-certified servicer nearby. If Kester works in your area, you couldn’t call a nicer, more helpful team to fix your fireplace.

They diagnosed the problem with our 23YO Heat ‘N Glo fireplace (bad pilot assembly) sight unseen, based on what I was experiencing (unit always turning off after only a minute). I am so very happy to find Kester Fireplace thru Google! Within a short time I met with Mindy who fully explained and showed me options to replace our now-old gas log set (sending out SOOT!); order placed: quick turnaround having it installed (Gerry is fast, competent, clean workspace!). Meanwhile Jenn serviced an older gas-stove in the TV room. It has been years since anyone would say they could inspect these 2 units – asked each time HVAC person arrived to service the furnace – which was a real worry! Now I have a remote-controlled beautiful fireplace, assurance about safety and soot (no more!), and a family-run business that will be my go-to place from now on, with yearly servicing. Wonderful service! I had talked to other fireplace companies on updating our old gas fireplace. All of them me our whole fireplace had to be taken down in order to get our old insert out which would have been very expensive! Kester came out and suggested instead of ripping everything down they could install new gas logs. This saved us thousands of dollars! The installation took less than 2 hours. Everything was nice and clean when they left. We love our new setup! I highly recommend them. They’re knowledgeable and very friendly. You’ll be supporting a small family business as well!

Our gas fireplace insert has had issues for years. Previous company replaced EVERYTHING (gas valve, thermocouple, etc) and it still didn’t work after spending a fortune. Kester Fireplace really went the extra mile on my project, and they really cared about my project. This was an entirely new fireplace in our foyer that required a lot of up front planning. Mindy and Gerry put a lot of time in before the installation even started to help make sure all of the framing and prep work were done correctly. The actual installation went very smoothly, and they were extremely flexible on their end to meet our needs. On top of that their pricing was better than all of the competitors in the area. I came upon Kester Fireplace after our last fireplace installer skipped town and wouldn’t return my calls or come back to fix what he did. Even after contacting the business he was referred by, no one followed thru to help us. We were left with a sooted fireplace that stained our exterior siding and blackened the glass and walls of the fireplace after just a couple uses. Both Gerry and Mindy extended excellent customer service to me even tho it was not their product. Gerry was knowledgeable, on time, professional and clean and was able to fix our fireplace completely. Mindy was just as courteous and helpful and assured me they would take care of us, which they did. I would most definitely recommend this fireplace company. Kester Fireplace is an excellent business to deal with. I had a fireplace that was not working, and called several fireplace businesses and each of them wanted to charge me for a service call before they would do anything. Gerry came out at no charge to look at my fireplace, and gave me some options to fix it. He informed me that it is an older unit and would need to be replaced even if he did fix it. I ended up buying a new fireplace and Gerry and his team were top notch in their pricing, service, and accommodating my schedule.
